Huis Ten Bosch, Nagasaki, Japan - ハウステンボス 長崎 日本

Huis Ten Bosch is an European resort  located in Nagasaki Perfecture, Kyushu Island. It was built in on March 25, 1992. Huis Ten Bosch is one of the place that is suggested to visit in the area of Southern Japan.

Huis ten Bosch is a Theme Park that recreate the Netherlands in wichh the building was create in the same size to the old Dutch Building. In the time when we visited this place (September 2009), it was raining. Unfortunately in September we could not see the beautiful Tulip because it is not the a season for blooming tulips. Based on the information we got from the website, in every season the flower is blooming. But if you want to see the real Netherlands in Japan with the beautiful Tulip, it is suggested to come around February-April.

In accordance to the meaning of Huis Ten Bosch “House in the forest.” , this area in facts is a residential-style resort that has canals running throughout, surrounded by greenery, forests, amusements, shops, restaurants, five distinct hotels, a marina and residential area. This spacious 152-hectare resort, roughly the same size as Monaco.


Because our trip in Huis ten Bosch only about 2-3 hours, it was impossible for us to walk around by on foot. We then decided to cruise on the canal by a classic cruiser. The classic cruiser then take us around the whole 6 km of canals surrounding the resort. the trips was started from Kinderdijk near the resort entrance and the base of Domtoren in Utrecht. The rural landscape and town take on a new appearance when viewed from the canal.
