Singkarak Lake is a lake located in two district of West Sumatra Province; Kabupaten Solok and Tanah Datar.
This lake has an area of 1107.8 km ², and is the second largest lake on the Sumatra Island.
Singkarak has a unique fish that called "ikan bilih" (Mystacoleucus padangensis). It is endemic to the lake. This fish is harvested for human consumption.
It takes about 2.5 hours from Kota Padang to Singkarak lake using Public Transportation.
