Takeda Shingen Statue and Kofu Castle Ruin (Maizuru Castle Park), Kofu City (Japan)

Two places for sighseeing in Kofu City, Takeda Shingen Statue and Kofu Castle Ruin (Maizuru Castle Park) are correlated each other. The statue is the hero of the Kofu's people and the castle is  belongs to the Takeda Family. This places are near to the Kofu Station. From Kofu Station get out from south gate, turn right and you can find the Takeda Shingen Statue. To reach the Kofu Castle Ruin (Maizuru Castle Park), from the South Gate of Kofu Station, turn left and walking about  3 minutes, you will find the castle.

This statue was build in the 12th april 1969, it take 4 years to finish this statue. Takeda Shingen is hero of the Kofu's People. This hero is still alive in the mind ofKofu's people and  they believed that Takeda Shingen is still watching  them forever.

Kofu Castle Ruin (Maizuru Castle Park)



After the Takeda Castle family was destroyed, the construction of the castle was carried in the 1582, and it seemed to be completed around 1600. In the era of Yanagisawa Yoshiyasu, the castle was further enlarged . But the magnificent appearance was destroyed about 130 years ago by great fire in 1727. The Inari yagura (turret) of Kofu then was constructed by p Kofu' people, and it completed in the 2004.
